Pray in my name, Jesus said.

Father, in the name of Jesus. Your name is powerful. Thank you for your Word, thank you for the Holy Ghost. Receive our thanks in the name of Jesus. Amen.

First of all, No one ever talked like Jesus:

Philippians 2:9  …. Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

Anything that has a name in Heaven and on the earth has no choice but bow to the authority of the name of Jesus. Jesus attained this height by obedience, subjected Himself to the pains of the cross. His name alone is an anointing which is above the name of any Prophet or religious leader. Jesus did not even die for His belief as a martyr or his stubbornness. He died for you and I to be recovered and reconciled to God.  He was perfectly aware of the program of His Father that required Him to die and yet did not argue with His father.

Whenever you pray or call his name; you are activating the anointing! The supernatural!

Ephesians 1:21 …Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Jesus is the Head, we are the body

It is most noteworthy to know that whenever God is looking down at you, or hearing from you, He sees and hears from Jesus, otherwise He will not hear you. His eyes are so holy that they cannot behold sin. But He has washed us by the blood and He is free to access us in the name of Jesus.

Ephesian 5: 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Whenever you are doing something in the name of Mr. President of your country,  people accord respect to you because they believe it’s the president himself that is doing it. In the same vein, whenever you are praying in the name of Jesus, The father never turn down the request of His Son.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Imagine Jesus standing by you. He is there! He is!. Therefore, receive power while praying rather than doubting when the prayer will be answered. The answer is right there with you.

John 14: 13  …ask anything in my name, and I will do it!”. John 5:22 the Father judges no one, but has assigned all judgment to the Son.

Therefore, whenever you are praying not in the name of Jesus, you are on your own. As a result, the Father is not hearing. If you can see in the spirit, you will see the computer in heaven showing “illegal operation”

John 16:23, 24 Whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Now the key to Mark 16:17-20 is the (1) believing (2) IN MY NAME.

Mark 16: 17-20 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Finally, Nobody has that authority and power that can compare to Jesus. The key is in His name.
